First time out for a while, only managed a couple of hours at Forge Valley. Lots happening there including Deer and Jays but the light was poor so the shots are not good. Put these pictures of a Robin and a Deer on for your viewing. Thanks Nick t.

Hi All, not been out recently but last night my kind friend Tony rang and asked if I wanted to see a Jay. It was my first ever sighting and although the light was poor and the rain almost constant we saw at least three Jays. Fantastic !! - thanks Tony. Whilst there Clive and Michael arrived - nice to see you guys.

My friends Tony and Clive kindly invited me to accompany them on a trip to see if we could spot this Roller showing near Aldborough. Unfortunately it was a long way off and not moving but I managed to take these record shots and what a beautiful bird. Thanks for looking.

I was out in the garden and suddenly realised the woodpeckers that have been coming for food these past weeks had honoured us with a visit. There was one adult and with it two youngsters. I managed to grab the camera and take a few quick hand held shots. More to follow. Thanks for looking.

I managed to get a quiet hour in the garden this afternoon. 

Kept hearing the call then finally this woodpecker appeared in my garden. Luckily had enough time to get the camera. Will try and get some better pictures through the week.

A couple of hours at Filey Dams trying to see the Mandarin and the best I could do was a record shot at distance. A few others turned out quite reasonable though. Thanks for looking !
