Went back to try and get some more Waxwing shots this morning but unfortunately the place was fog bound. Hung around a while and this little chap scurried through the bushes. Did not get chance to alter settings just pressed the shutter so apologies for the quality or lack of it. The Waxwing pictures are a few more from the day before. I hope you enjoy them - thanks for looking.
My very first sighting of Waxwings !!!! Well worth the wait, I've been trying to see them for a few years now and always missed them. It was a case of "you should have been here yesterday" Not so today. Hope you like the pictures - best I could do with my ageing gear. Thanks for looking.
First time out for a while, only managed a couple of hours at Forge Valley. Lots happening there including Deer and Jays but the light was poor so the shots are not good. Put these pictures of a Robin and a Deer on for your viewing. Thanks Nick t.
Hi All, not been out recently but last night my kind friend Tony rang and asked if I wanted to see a Jay. It was my first ever sighting and although the light was poor and the rain almost constant we saw at least three Jays. Fantastic !! - thanks Tony. Whilst there Clive and Michael arrived - nice to see you guys.
Definately deserves another visit when the conditions are better. Thanks for looking.
My friends Tony and Clive kindly invited me to accompany them on a trip to see if we could spot this Roller showing near Aldborough. Unfortunately it was a long way off and not moving but I managed to take these record shots and what a beautiful bird. Thanks for looking.
I was out in the garden and suddenly realised the woodpeckers that have been coming for food these past weeks had honoured us with a visit. There was one adult and with it two youngsters. I managed to grab the camera and take a few quick hand held shots. More to follow. Thanks for looking.
